the ephatch community - the fact that you can swap the type s engine in - its a lot more rare - more trunk space :)

i didn't like the rsx body and interior.
and i saw one too many young people with one.

- I wasn't into the RSX interior.
- Cost was an issue with the RSX.
- I love the shape of the ep, just looks better imo.

Better looks
Better Handling
and it feels like it has more power then the RSX
and not many around
Maybe just me because I like to stand out of the crowd;)

Didnt want to pay for acura logo, and then the ride is much more "go-kart" like in the Si.

I don't care for the headlight action on the RSX.
Cheaper.
More rare....actually, I have yet to see another on the road, just one pulling into a lot in Boston.

Finally, the most convincing one....my company has many young girls that started working for us (well, I am only 24 myself)...and quite a few of them drive the RSX...some Type-S...it seem to have gotten the soririty like vibe to me so no thanks...

I can fit both my kid in the back seat, and my German Shephard in the trunk. My dog wouldn't fit in the Acura.

That's right! If they are the same price I would get a type s, even I still think my EP looks better.

I haven't bought an Si (yet), but I've been looking at
them instead of an RSX because:
I think the RSX is just ugly, exterior wise.
I've already teased my friends who have RSX's about
buying a "Honda" (oh, how the mighty have fallen, lol).
Much cheaper, and more potential for engine swap/performance
down the road.
Cooler and more unique look.
Cheap price!

stiffer chassis, better handling characteristics, lower compression, a3 = fun turbo engine, and insurance is cheap as hell, 106 a month for me full coverage at 17

Cheaper insurance than RSX (base and type-s), grand prix (not sure why I was even looking at that thing), celica, and a number of other cars i looked at.

Also, I can actually move shit around in the hatch. One time I had 4 people AND a large dog in my car, all at the same time. I've also had a keg of beer and the plastic keg bucket upright in the hatch and still had extra space left over when I closed it!

I love the RSX-S, I also love my EP. If they were priced the same, I would go for the RSX. It was just too expensive for me. The good thing is my wife has one, so if I get the urge to drive one I can.

Si => way cheap (got a year end '02), reliable, and fun

Type S => way more money - I'd be driving a chipped GTI, a WRX, or used A4 wagon with a stage 3 kit instead, for roughly the same price ;) But that's just me (I'm obviously not the brand loyal type)

All together...

Less EP's around= more exclusive car

Less Money

Less Insurance

Less attention from the 5-0

Better trunk space

Better rear seat room

Better seats

Better shifter placement

the interior of the car!! its so well layed out unlike the rsx. that was the major reasoning behind me buying mine :D

I hate the way the RSX looks. (Dodge Intrepid)
I hate having leather interior
Dont want t seem like a rich boy having a type-s
I DONT want a 6 speed

Our EPs have an innocent/sleeper look to them which makes it sooo much sweeter when you beat someone (I love the Dodge Caravan look). Plus I want a TRUE H/B, not a car that looks like it has a trunk. If I wanted a car with a trunk I would have gotten an 00 SI

I took alot of cars out for a drive before testing the EP. Found it
to be the best all around ride/feel/looks/interior for the money.
I was going to mod anything I got anyways, and the EP platform
is just wonderful for mods. Definitely an eye catcher.:D

price, practicality, exclusivity.

16G, 84.7 cu ft of passenger room, clubrsx has over 10K members.

Sometimes it is just more fun and more satisfying being the underdog.

1. price -- rsx for under $16K? nope.
2. i loved my old si, so i wanted one when the new model was released.
3. hatchbacks rule
