so how'd you end up doing? i'm just now starting to get involved in auto-x. no money to do anything serious yet. i have some springs sitting around and i want to get some new tires before starting. are you on stock tires?

I am doing as well as can be expected with stock tires and suspension. I am getting ready to put on springs and tires- it will help alot! I've been doing ok- usually about the middle of STS. I'm positive that this car has the potiential to be at the top of STS with the right suspension set-up and good tires! It has PLENTY of hp for STS and my intake helps out, too. Right now, my bro's focus is running about 2 1/2 sec. faster than me - but he has full suspention and racing tires....sooooo....I can still sleep at night.:rolleyes:

After driving the EP this weekend I would have to say those are the worst stock tires I have ever driven on but the car has plenty of power. It need some more dampening and it will be hella fun. I talked her into buyin the car because of the great deal on them and well its a honda.

This is my first post so here is a little about me. I have owned three hondas and now the focus. I had a silver EK before teh focus but no money for a swap :( . I bought the focus because of the warranty and the autox potential it had.

I look forward to posting on here more often as I still am a Honda guy at heart and I will buy another ek when i get some money :D .

I know scca events are kinda family based, but I never expected dueling siblings!! I LOVE AUTOCROSS , its a truckload of fun. Nice to have you both here. coneklr, have you autocrossed in your Hondas and how does the Focus compare if you have.

I happen to think they look good together but you have your opinion.

Hmmm comparing my EK to the focus I would have to say the Ek is more race feeling because the focus is alot more cushy. But they both handle really well. The focus is faster as I just had the d16y7 in the EK, but the focus is more top heavy and has more luxury stuff. Overall the EK would be more fun with a b18c in it but I really like the fucus. Its a great STS car and I am usually in the top 3 at regional events. i am down on horsepower compared to most sts cars but I am gaining ground soon hopefully.
