200 hp Civic

Hey everyone, I'm new to the site but i think it's great.

Anyway, i read a small write up in motor trend mag that a 200 hp civic will be coming to the states within a year. The article was printed probably 4months ago. I was just wonderin if anyone saw the article or new of anything cause it doesn't sound like it's comin here. It also said we were gonna get the rsx type r as well.

I really wanna buy an 02 si by next summer after school's out, and it would be nice to have that thing! Thats for sure.

That was probably in reference to the Civic Type R. The outlook on that does not look good or at least, honda is keeping it hush hush

It definitly was in reference to the CTR, but they made it sound like since everyone was so disapointed about the fact that we only got a 160 hp version with a 5 speed. Honda was gonna bring a 200hp version with the 6 speed meaning the CTR. But who really know's.

I think our only "160" hp is pleanty to have fun with and not get into too much trouble. 200 would be amazing but this new 2.0L is so smooth and strong that it is an all around better engine than the 1.6L - even the "God-like" B16.
