Im gonna paint my headlights as soon as my brother and i get off on the same days cuz.. and i was wondering if i should paint whole housing black or should i leave the side markers chrome and just paint the half like most of you guys did..

ps.... i have a black ep.. how to know what you guys think....

Look at the pictures of lights that are already done, and see what you like. My personal opinion is that the whole turn signal side left chrome looks silly, but I think people do that for a JDM look. I also think completely painted reflectors look terrible. Just think about what you want to do after you've got them apart and mask very carefully.

IMO it looks alot better doing the whole thing, just tape off the inner parts so theres sonmthing the light can refelct off of.

I left a little more silver on mine:

After you take the light apart it will be more obvious which sections you want to mask. There's also a bunch of threads that talk about this subject extensively already.

gotta get a good seal. try puttin some more silicon on it, hope it does the trick but gotta close those lights up tight though

just leave it on the oven for 10-15 mins until the stock adhesive is really hot/melted. It will be easier for you to reseal it back, then put silicone to the max :D

After you seal them, dehumidify them somehow. One of the things that someone else here has done was to insert a silica gel packet (like what you'd find in a box of new shoes) in the hole for the parking light bulb, and leave it overnight.

That should drop the housing's humidity down to non-fogging levels.

Just let the paint dry completely before reassembly and there should'nt be any condensation:)

That just reminded me. I e-mailed Dupont paint to find out what paint would do best in this upgrade. I am hearing some are saying after a year their paint is pealing or that they are just not looking as good as when they did it.

I should hear from them in 24-48 hours.
