Very clean! Nice work. How about a mod list so we know whatcha did? What kind of rims do you have?

Now- I love the car, but do you have anything under the hood to justify that "Type R" badge?;)

Heh, of course the body kit is printed. I'm planning to get a CF hood. I like the buddy club one but it's very expensive. Normal CF hood is only $400-500usd but buddy club is around $1000usd. Please let me know what do you guys think. Buddy club CF hood or normal CF hood + $500 to get something else? Thanks!

Thats badass man!

I hadn't seen the buddy club kit on a white one until now, looks great! I also like the wheels. I just wouldn't drop it that low, you prolly have to drive it too conservatively. Looks great though.

a type r badge....c'mon now.

l33t
06-13-2003, 05:17 PM
well if he is trying to be jdm about it, why not put the type R badge? you probably wouldn't call a 240 with a silvia badge gross, and an is300 with the altezza logo, so why get so angry over a type r badge?

downhil
06-13-2003, 05:28 PM
those are just the japanes names for the same car. the civic is still the civic in japan...

we dont have a type r, so why portray it as one. unless you actually swap the a3.

l33t
06-13-2003, 05:34 PM
actually not all 240s are silvias,

downhil
06-13-2003, 05:42 PM
AHA;)

and not all civics are type r's.:D

EP3-RR
06-13-2003, 06:24 PM
Heh, just a Type R badge, I put it on because I think it looks better. I'm not trying to portray it's a Type R. :-)

Acidburn
06-13-2003, 10:39 PM
ehhh, if you have a type r badge on your car - you should be able to back it up performance-wise IMO

ballsdeep
06-14-2003, 10:32 AM
I dont think the Type R badge looks better I think the car would look better if it was debadged. I would get rid of the type R badge and the UK and the civic if thats still there. I dont really understand the gauges either unless your running boost. Other then that I really like it the kit looks good.

KeNnYtAkEr
06-14-2003, 11:34 AM
How much was that powder coat for the valve cover?

Bridgekid
06-15-2003, 04:09 PM
the kit is fiberglass right? Have u had any problems with breaking or scraping?

bmx269
06-15-2003, 08:10 PM
The yellow valve cover is the Spoon one, it is a JDM Type R cover, Spoonified. Only real JDM fans know what that represents. (remember all the Type R ones in Japan are red, so yellow is different.)

Hi bmx269, thanks for your help. I only saw a black ep with custom tail light and a REV ep with works rims, I didn't see your car at the show. I stayed there for half an hour only, I just left my car there. I heard that there is another show at the end of June and it's a two days show. Are you gonna go?

I think I will keep the Red "H"s and the Type R badge on. I like it and I think they look good on my car. Thanks for your advise craig!

hehe...wow I shouldn't wave matches but ...if they "are" the "same" why do ppl drop the jdm silvia engine into their 240...I guess show purposes...btw ... The Altezza, sold here as the is300, packs far fewer ponies in japan...

IMO the red H is to represent Hondas racing heritage. Its for Decor. It doesnt say type R on it anywhere. But u have a type-r sticker an nothing else. Is it the spirot of the R? Nope no dual vtec k series motor in there. Red badges look nice but Type Rs look rice.

again just IMO. nuttin to get fussy about =-)

I like ur Ride a lot... dunno if the bc wing will grow on me...im in love with the cf mugen:cool: A 215-45 tire would give ya about 1/4 in more room for road hazards which scares me away from buying this kit for daily driver...looks to fit great though.... again imo very nice

there's no sunroof on a Type R anyway
and there isn't one on a real evo either!!! [it's a western thing]

you take the airbag stock steering wheel then the srs light muxt show up. then what did you do with that light ? how to make it OFF? thanks need to know real bad.

EP3-RR
07-27-2003, 11:22 PM
Hi there,

Sorry for the delay! The SRS light is on all the time, I don't know how to make it off. Please let me know if you know how to do that. Thanks!

EP3-RR

pecX
07-28-2003, 02:42 PM
in EP3 model I'm sure that it's cannot take the plub light out off the cluster.

But In my opinion. Have you seen the Mugen boss? They come with the yellow clib which is the srs cancelation. But that yellow clip is made for the japanese car which has difference airbag system. USDM has 2stage airbag so the clip are not fit each other 4wires and 2 wires........

But I heard that the srs ecu looking for the resistance value from the airbag unit in the steeringwheel. I think the mugen boos clip contain the exact value of JDM resistance. I think If you replace the airbag with the resistance same value as your stock airbag unit and reset the srs signal the light should be gone....... BUT dont trust me !!!! I just heard from other please do more research and let me know too thanks

07-29-2003, 05:22 PM
I think the ADAM...that sells the red "H" stickers, posted something about using a paper clip to turn it off. :)

Go to this site and email the guys over in Japan. http://www.first-inc.co.jp/

They will sell you the stuff cheaper than you can get it here. They only deal in cash transfers though. No international credit cards. Also to give you an idea if you talk to any of the companies here they will tell you that Buddy Club does not make 15 in wheels. They do make them and the contact guy I spoke with over in Japan offered to ship them to me for $800. Plus they have a tone of other parts...and for all you Spoon fans check out ipsracing.com.

Hey how did you put the emergency signal buttom on it.It cant screw directly.

ThorGod
08-01-2003, 02:32 AM
Is that a S2k engine starter button I see over on the other side of the emergency lights button? If it is, mad props and give details on how you installed it/where you got it.

pecX
08-01-2003, 02:23 PM
Oh that is the original place I forgot how dump i am.what i did is I put the s2000 start buttom too.I put it on the left hole and put the cigarett lighter on the right hole and move the emergency to the original cigarett lighter hole

ThorGod
08-01-2003, 03:50 PM
And the engine start button works? or its just for looks?

pecX
08-01-2003, 06:38 PM
there're about 6-7 wires to hook up.......but you have to buy the start buttom that come with the kit...........or go to honda dealer and buy only buttom then go to autozone buy the relay and wire it yourself

ThorGod
08-01-2003, 09:10 PM
Does anyone have any instructions/costs on how to do it?

StrangeShadow
08-01-2003, 10:25 PM
try the interrior forum, there are a few ppl that have installed it in there. I think the button is like 35. and thewiring and electronic stuff is anothr 30, so around 70-90 bucks at your honda dealer,
part # : 35881-S2A-911 (thank Blastech for that info)

pecX
08-01-2003, 11:34 PM
all you need
1.s2000 switch
2.relay
3.wires
4.your car wiring diagram

it's cost $60 for all you need ON ebay
around $45 if you go to dealer for a switch and relay from autozone
