I work in a body shop, and today on my lunch hour I decided to see what my Si sounded like sans the rear muffler section. I un-bolted it at the flange and removed it, started it up and drove around the block. I think it sounds horrible to tell the truth, I'm already sick of the added noise and can't wait to tie it all back in place, just wanted to let you all know, because I always see G3 Integras, 6th gen Civics running with the muffler cut-off and wondered why, so I had to try it myself today to see.....
The worse part about it is that it sounds like a weezing dog above 5k but has a nuetral hum off idle to 3.5K nothing exciting. BTW it tookall of 5 min to remove the muffler. I thought it would also be a lot louder with the muffler removed, but the stock resonator still baffles quite a bit of sound.
