I mentioned before that I hated the over-sized front "H" badge used on our cars and I was going to replace it with a smaller red "H". I finally got the link to work for the pics I have of my red "H" badge for anyone that is interested.

There are two pictures, click on "view pictures" and use the slideshow feature to see them both.

the red badge I affixed to the grill is smaller in sized compared to the factory badge. I looked at the CTR badge , but that thing is just as big or even bigger than our stock badge. It ma be better quality compared to my badge, but I prefer the size of my badge. When people talk about the new Civic looking like a minivan I think the front badge has something to do with that, as the minivans also use big-ass badges.

Here is a link to the CTR badge, still too big IMO.

have fun with it.

Not bad. How much was it and how did you attach it ?

well its just one of those typical aftermarket red badges that just about every other Honda runs on the street (sometimes you see them in blue, yellow, but mostly red). I had an extra one sitting around my garage cause when I bought a set for my last Civic they came in a pair of two. I guess you can pick one up at any import shop for $10 or so, not sure.

I just pulled off the stock badge which attaches with two screws on the inside of the grill, I didn't even have to take the bumper off. Behind the stock badge is a flat black panel I attached the badge using 3m sticky foam tape, holds well. The rear of the badges have two plastic prongs, I just snipped them off smooth and affixed foam tape to the back. I really wanted to attach it to the front edge of the hood but when I pulled off the stock badge there was a flat panel behind it, not a continuation of the mesh grill, so I had to place the badge over the flat panel and centered it in place.

you'd be surprised how strong that 3M sticky tape is, but yeah it is still stealable if someone really wants it. You would need a screwdriver or something to pry it out, getting it off by hand is hard.

But we don't get that kind of theft around my part of the world too often. I ran a set on my 99 SiR for over three years and it was never stolen or touched.

I like it, but I also think it would be something easy to steal. Hopefully it wont be......

Looks okay, I take it you didn't change the rear one.

the rear one is very small, but I've seen the CTR rear badge and it looks great wish we could get that one, it would look real nice on non-red Civics.

here is a pic from track-challenge.com of a CTR rear badge, it is red but doesn't show up too well on a red Civic
