Brettnyt,

The first switch is for spray, the second is for strobes in the engine bay and headlights and the third turns on the undercar neons. The car is conceived to tour on the Canadian Sport Compact Nights show circuit so lighting was neccessary. Thanks for the positive feedback guys.

Well...

I like MOST of it...

I love what you did to the dash, the wheels, brakes and the drop.

The engine looks wild... Just a little too "bling" for my taste.

The decals, the wing, and the neons.... Sorry. I just don't like 'em. WAY to flashy for me. I understand that you need to do this for the show circuit... But I don't think I will ever come to appreciate those big tacked on wings and large decals.

Don't get me wrong... I LIKE IT! I just prefer a more "subtle" approach.

As far as I know, Nology is the only company that produces an ignition wire upgrade for our cars. The system will work only if you have a aftermarket intake system but is rated at producing 300 times the spark. The kit includes a mounting bracket, HotWires and BERU silverstone plugs. I noticed a significant increase in throttle response mainly from 4000 - 6500rpm.

Hey sick ride man!!!! Was just wonderin Is that spoon Exhaust I see under your car? If its not it still looks great does not have the fart can look and i bet it sounds great!!! Can you give us a vid of how your exhaust sounds? I would greatly appreciate it cause Im thinkin of getting spoon.

SCPep3
06-16-2003, 10:03 PM
The exhaust is courtesy of Vibrant Performance. It's a complete catback system, 100% Stainless including the flanges. It's called the Type-V series and yes, it sounds awesome. Although, it did shake a tad so I upgraded the stock hanger bushings with stiff polyurethane ones. I highly recommend this system!

j spek,

I actually have the original 3-pc Buddy Club wing as well but I actually found the JSP one looked better, plus it weighed less! As for the neons, I NEVER turn those things on when I drive, only at the dark out shows...but for the shot in the tunnel...I think it looked cool. Fast and furious or not.

I usually don't like neon lights or aluminum/CF wing but your car looks sweet. It's the complete package that makes it stand out from the rest. The shot of it in the tunnel is the money shot that sold me. Now bring home some trophies and get some more sponsors.

Nice kit and wheels. Maybe if there weren't so many stickers covering the rest of the car I could compliment something else.

So how many pounds of vinyl you running?:D

Oh and neons??? I can understand the show part of it but damn.

SCPep3
06-17-2003, 08:34 AM
C'mon guys, easy with the vinyl and neon jokes...the vehicle was conceived for promotional purposes, therefore all the sponsors of the car must be both visible and well represented. For those who understand the game, then thank you for the comments. Believe me, I already had to fight for NOT putting on big vinyl graphics!!! I'm just happy that I can even get away with the "subtle" race look. The vehicle is scheduled to appear this way for 24 months, then I can do what I want with it. But hey, everybody is entitled to their own opinion...

YooShin

Simply Awesome: You need a magazine shoot. This is an example of how all the right components can be pulled together: The kit, wheels, wing, decals and even the neon. It takes both an artist and engineer to get this look down right. You've done an excellent job. This is what F&F and all the ricers try to imitate but fail and fall short. The crap that makes you shout rice or bling on impulse makes it hard to appreciate the ones that are done right. Admit it EP brothers and sisters, this is what we all envisioned at one time and still get inspired from great examples. Please don't blow by putting on some 21" rotating rims or a air bags.

 Um......NO! I've never "envisioned" my car being anything near this.

I can understand the whole show aspect of it and needing to represent the sponsers but I just feel the stickers could have been placed at least a little better to further compliment the car.

SCPep3

YooShin,

Thanks for the comments. The car is actually to be shot for cover of Performance Auto&Sound early next year. Believe it or not, the car is only at about 40% completed. Multimediea custom install, rear brake kit, boost, swap and cage are all in the plans. I'll try my best to keep this thread updated for those of you who are interested...

YooShin
06-17-2003, 01:06 PM
Yeh you're going to start running out of useful room to place decals tastefully. Most of the parts speak for themself. You ought to consider your own website catering toward EPs or similarly tuned and JDMed hondas and imports. Personally I'd like to see an all EP and RSX type web page with the usual like clubs, forums gallaries and links to all of your sponserors whom can help put the site together and perhaps vend some of their products through it. I'd love to get a good deal on some Volk Racing CE 28Ns and maybe some of the those Tien Coilovers... ;)

Yeah... I understand the idea of show-car is to make it stand out... And that ride does that very well!

In context of it being a show car... I looks VERY GOOD. A lot cleaner than some of the tacky junk out there! I love the color mix and the body kit!

As for the rims, I had originally asked for the same set in gold, but unfortunately, they would hav taken too long to arrive so I had to settle with the gunmetallic ones. I'm actually thinking about changing them to 2-pc bronze w/lip 18" Buddy Clubs by this winter. We originally tried to use red stickers at first but it just came out to dark with the black background so we would have had to go with 2 color decals on the paint. I preferred the one color for roll calls so we went with the metallic silver instead.
