I-Vtec decals came off about a week after I go the car, and changes the car to look 100% better. Those decals would have been okay if they would have been 1/4 the size and only on the hatch.

The easiest way to get them off (other than the slow-but-sure method w/ a credit card), is to heat them (carefully!) with a heat gun. They almost jump off. The sticky residue comes off with turpentine (NOT paint thinner or any lacquer remover, either of which will definately take paint off your car). Turpentine is harmless to dried paint.

And, I haven't decided if I want to take mine off. Heck, I'm even thinking about adding a BIG Honda sticker (6"x48") to each side.

I'm thinking about taking the side stickers off. I don't like how the i looks. Maybe if it was I-VTEC instead of i-VTEC. I don't know, stupid I guess. I may take the side ones off and get some DOHC stickers to replace them. Not sure yet.

Now that I know that the "VTEC" system only has a low profile cam for the intake that switches over to the normal cam lobe at 2200rpm(!), I don't want to go around with big stickers trumpeting the "VTEC" engine. There is no high rpm cam lobe for the Si. I'm getting rid of my side stickers.

removed the i-Vtec crap and the civic badge from the hatch --- pics in my thread -- see "taikahn - Denver, Colorado" in the "Members Rides" for pics...

This last weekend I added the grille-tech black metal race grill to the front, tinted the front side orange reflectors to near black.... I also put stickers from the tuning place I go to and what not in a stealth location --- pics soon of that.

I think the Si without stickers and less of the colored reflectors everywhere looks great. With them its too busy.

I did like how it looked with the stickers, but I wanted to get them off before they started going bad or started peeling on their own. Plus, it wouldn't surprise me if people who didn't know about them being stock would think that I added them to be ricey.

I'm pondering taking off the Si badges just to keep them from getting stolen. They do look cool, though...

I say remove all those badges and stickers. IMO the i-VTEC sticker looks cheap. As for the badges, remove it. Better off removing it yourself than someone scratching your paint stealing it.

Removing the i-VTEC stickers are easy. Let your car sit in the hot son till body heats up, or use a hair dryer. Use your finger nail and peel away. There will be some adhesive left over. Use some tape and stick it off. Or use spray some Goof-Off on a towel and wipe and rinse. Don't let the solution to sit, rinse right after you remove the adhesive.

Using dental floss sucks when removing the badges. It'll keep breaking and isn't strong enough. I'd use a fish wire, way much better. Same as removing the sticker, some heat will be nice. After removal, use your finger to rub off the tape.

Cool -- I'm still pondering putting my 1st gen Si badge (from an '86 that I used to own) on my hatch in place of the '02 one. Right now, it's tucked in that little shelf in the passenger side of the dash, mounted with double-sided tape on the back wall. Really low-key, but people "in the know" will recognize it, and it's honoring my old car in a way.

I've heard that it MIGHT help, because they're supposed to write a ticket for the correct car. If they write down a plate number that doesn't match the vehicle, then it shouldn't be a valid ticket.

That's the theory, anyway. Anybody want to test it out? ;)

my brother in law is a cop, he said if any information is written down on the ticket wrong it is dismissed by the judge, but that ticket must be appealed or pled not guilty and you have to see the judge, it wont be dismissed if you just go pay the ticket and plead guilty.

I left the i-vtec stickers on, removed the si badges though. i like the vtec stickers there, i actually added them to my prelude because i think they look clean and classy. I had aem and dc sports decals, then I realized that it was just a parts list of stuff to steal from me. I hope no one steals my vtec, because to the idiots I work with its a bolt on item.

I took off the side stickers cause...

I think it's more embarrassing to leave them on because our i-VTEC isn't something to boast about or show off... cause it's not the "VTEC" everyone likes or knows.

Perhaps if we had real performance VTEC or if I had a motor swap, then i would consider leaving them on.

...IMO =)

very true sir, my old H22 vtec was much scarier than that of my k20a3.

I removed my i-vtec sticker the first week I bought the car, and then added the UK emblem in the back.

agreed. I have 3 extra stickers, and I also added the rear hatch Si emblem to my 03. Prolly going to remove Civic off the hatch though.

Only rocking front and rear H. Took off the side I-vtec cause I think its too big and our cars have the crappy vtec. Anyways it looks way better without it.
