This is a newbie question...but what exactly does that bar do?

front strut bars stiffen the front end of the suspension making it more rigid. It takes the flex out of the car but you really only notice it with high profile tires, springs, etc.

If you buy them through one of the advertisers here, you'll probably get just as good a price if not better than eBay. Plus I know from personal experience that both ShowStoppers USA and Tornactive have excellent customer service. IMO, even if you have to pay a little more, it's better to get it from a distributor with a good reputation. I've seen incidents where both vendors I mentioned have gone out of there way to make sure customers were satisfied if they had any problems. eBay is a little more of a craps shoot.

Just my two cents worth...

hmmmm i could make some bars like that if i had a ep to try them on. ive got a set for my grand national that attaches to the fire wall and to the radiator support. the left bar goes stright but the right bar bends perfiectly around the turbo.

Dont buy it off ebay for that price you can find it much cheaper. Also just so you now mine didnt fit very well when i got it I had to bend it some took a little more effort to install then what I thought it would.
