2F2F skyline

I got to ride in the actual Skyline from the movie 2fast2furious. The owner of the car owns the shop Motor Mavericks in Bristol TN. It was a f*ckin bad ass ride that I'll never forget. Anyways they ran the car last week at Street Fights at Bristol Dragway and it ran a 13.6. I was told that the fuel map was all bogged up or something. They said it should run between a 12.2 - 12.8. The car can be seen on the cover of Super Street magazine. They had it painted orange and silver before they repainted silver and blue for the movie. But now they are planning on painting it black with a hint of blue in it. Three tanks of juice in it. To say the least that car is wicked. If you live in East TN you can see the car at Motor Mavericks located in Bristol. The owner also owns a nice IS300, white twin-turbo supra, brand new dodge viper.

Motor Mavericks dyno's cars also if you want your car dynoed. Just thought I would tell some people about the Skyline. Holla

I have that issue of super street, and i must say it looks and sounds like it runs pretty f***king fast, but in Sport Compact Car, they got to drive the actual skyline as well as a few other cars in the movie, First of all the took a 4 wheel steer, 4 wheel drive beast of a car and turned it into a rear wheel, drive 2 wheel steer car. it remains stock under the hood and the brakes, most of the mods are exterior and interior. It runs about 14.1, although this is pretty damn fast a stock skyline would kill that time.

when reading the older superstreet article i have to wonder if they are talking about the same car. #1 the car is blue #2 it looks really fast and pretty, they do both have the side bvlow off valves.

He said that the car was built for top-end speed and not for the strip. He said it weighs around 3500 pounds. They are going to run the car again soon hopefully he said if it ever stops raining. It's rained for like 3 weeks straight. I hate TN. But anyways if I get to see it run again I'm going to video it and throw it on here so everyone can complain about the car. The tints not dark enough or it doesn't have a real skyline engine in it or some b*s*. Holla

I believe a number of the skylines were left with the AWD, as the RWD was merely for stunt purposed (easier to drift around corners with) Sounds like a blast to ride in... but 13.6 is a lil slow for a skyline... I would like to see it runnin in the 12's and 11's....

after i get my front mount put on im going to get me one of them nx nitrious intercooler sprayers, the way my grill and front mount will be inline when ever i purge it nitrious will come out of the grill like the cars breathing fire.:D my current intercooler will steam out the grill in the mornings when the winds not blowing and its alittle cool out, it looks pretty cool.

well the skyline that was tested was also tested in 3 other mags and ran in the 12's. the test for scc was fu*ked up.all the cars ran crap times but in all 3 other mags ran the times they should have.

and to turn a r34 into a 2 wheel drive car you just remove a fuse.

you all do realise that there are about 4 of the same car for every car in 2f2f. 4 skylines same paint same body, diff interior. They had one that they used for the close ups, and others they used for stunts and driving. SCC tested the cars that were used in close ups basically cars that they had no concern in making fast (hence a turbo supra that ran 14s, and a skyline that ran 14s.). The stunt cars otoh were probably stock, minus interior and exterior mods. This skyline probably ran 13s cus it was ridden hard and put away wet. 2 cents.

craig liebermanns skyline was used as the main/base skyline in 2F2F ... it was originally blue and was painted silver for the movie and disabling the AWD function for easier drifting with plans of repainting it blue or changing it to black after filming

what people dont realize is that a skyline is just a car, they put on the wheels one lug nut at a time. just because the skylines not avaliable in the states dont mean it should be worshiped like a god. sure 13s is quick but no where near fast. ive broke past the 13s, past the 12s, and im in to the mid 11s now and ive not spent 1/5 the price of a skyline. if i was rich sure i might would get one for the shock value if i had the money to throw around but until i win the lottery and buy one they will just be another car to me.

The R34's in the movies DID get the AWD disabled.
Know why? It's fairly hard to do burnouts and drifts in a car that has about as much traction as a M1 abrahms tank.
there were NO skylines privately owned were used. (4 Motorex and 1 fedexed from England). that car runs 14.1 in real life, as the AWD was disabled, and about 200 pounds was added to the damn car.

actully i drive a grand national, you know 13.8s stock 0-60 in 4.8 seconds. 3 buck wastegate mod your in to the mid 12s lock up the torque converter with a paper clip and your in to the low 12s. not to mention the parts that i put on like the te44 turbo, 42.5 lb injectors, jim testa custom burn 19 degree chip, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, adjustable wastegate, rcj power plate. scanmaster v2.1, dual fuel pumps, braded oil lines, braded gas lines, oil cooler, hooker cat back exhaust, hooker test pipe, dump, stright pipes, ported down pipe, and the front mount ive got in the mail. running 20 lbs on 93 and 25-27 lb on xylene or toulene with 796 o2 minivolts and 0-1.7 degrees kr on top end. yeah im sure that skyline would rape my granny moble :rolleyes:

btw i dont have a mullet but i do have a beard and enjoy dressing up like a amish guy to mess with people on cruze nights

now i do say ricer a few times so no one take offence, the guy in the crx was a TOTAL ricer, car smoked and sounded like it ran on 3 clys but he had a huge wing on the top of the car and ugly paint and he was race happy.
