does the DC mount to the firewall? the comptech doesnt look like it does, if the DC mounts to the firewall i say go with that, then agian paying almost $300 for a strut tower bar is too much for me.

Looks good but only connects by one bolt on each side of the strut tower. Better off w/the Neuspeed Strut tower bar, 4 point and priced under $130. CompTech is way over rated, therefore they overprice.

Not true, I just emailed comptech and they say that it bolts to two studs and requires no mods

My bad, the picture is kind of deceiving, looks similar the Freedom Design strut tower bar, which can be had for $79. Either way $269 is a rip for a strut tower bar and tell me which strut tower bar requires modding?

Personally, the only two STBs that I'm considering are the Neuspeed ($104 through Tornactive) and the D3Designs (price pending, but connects to firewall). Design-wise the Comptech one seems effective, but so is the Neuspeed. I think the D3 will be even better, but you're looking at a potential price of $165-175 from a manufacturer that, in my book, doesn't have a proven track record. (no pun intended) The fact that it's titanium has almost no appeal to me. You're only talking about a couple pounds of weight savings vs steel, and the added strength won't really provide much benefit in my opinion.
