Looks pretty nice, but did you see the write-up of the SVT focus with 40 bhp less than the civic that is still .2 sec quicker 0-60, WTF is that we're not that much heavier

Yea I noticed and did you also notice that it took K24 block and type S head swapping to even get to the 325 mark.. This has made me really sad actually.

I spent the day looking at the WRX on NASIOC and MINI Cooper S on MINI2.

I may seriously seriously! have to either trade or turbo charge instead. I was considering JRSC but this is just weak if you ask me.

I think I need to watch Jacks Ultimate Racing Turbo footage again to make me feel better about my EP performance potential.

Ya i hear that, for the setup that they were going with though I think they made a wrong move going with the K24 block, didnt that K20A2 swap with the JRSC put down better 0-60 times than the setup they are running with the K24

Edit: I bet the crapy numbers are due to a bad driver LOL car & driver

The figures are at 5-6 pounds of boost. You can run up to 13 psi w/that blower. My guess is about 320 hp if tuned correctly. Built bottom end ect.

I seriously have big plans for my car. While it may not be at the pace of major tuner, I'm working out some things that should get the car down the 1320 in 12secs in about 3 to 4 months and down in 11 seconds by next year.

Who knows where after that.

This wasn't your normal SVT. It has never seen a showroom floor. Handpicked by Ford Engineers and escorted down the assembly line, every seam was welded, completely. Every part was mounted and torqued with extra care. All non-essential parts such as air conditioning, rear seat, sound-deadening material, and the radio were removed. SVT engineers were going to make this the lightest Focus ever built. This SVT was made to run!

Problem:

Need more zip / would like to keep Honda warranty for my daily driver / Have SECRET burning desire for very active automobile club where driving is paramount..

Solution:

S/C: Not enough bang for buck.. / loose warranty :(

Turbo: Needs tuning and extra care / loose warranty. :(

Intake / Header / Exhaust for more zip in the Si and ordered a MINI Cooper S to carve up some back roads and enjoy club related events! These people are NUTS for their cars.

FLAME AWAY!!! but at least I am keeping the EP and still modding..

I just got back from a dyno day out at Jackson Racing and got to talk to them about the cars they ran at this C&D event. Apparently the EP had an Accord block and an RSX-S head, and had massive traction problems. These times were not run on a normal strip, but instead just on a straight portion of asphault at Cali Speedway on street tires. So of course the times are going to be worse than at a real strip.

Besides the fact the EP couldn't hook up, apparently it did manage some (I believe they said) 10 second runs up to 100. So, they power was definitely there.

As for why they ran this, it sounds like C&D probably called them up and said "Hey, we're running this tuner event. Bring anything you got right now." So, this frankenstein EP wasn't built to try to trick people into buying the normal EP JRSC, its just a project car they have going on.

As for the SVT Focus, it too was thrown together at the last moment to make the event and was literally being tuned during the event. Apparently they only had 36 lb injectors and couldn't get the larger ones in, in time. So they were totally maxing out the injectors and had to pull crap loads of timing up top and sacrifice a lot of power. This was on a stock block, with stock internals but they did bump up the redline from 7250 to 7800. The crazy thing was it puts down 180+ ft/lbs of torque BEFORE 2000 rpm. crazy...
