backfire sound?

I have an AEM CAI, now and then it seems to make a backfire type noise not real loud but there is definitely a combusting type sound, anyone else know anythign about this?

well ok so I guess I am not alone on this, but still nobody knows why in the hell it does that, that is definitely interesting!
