View Full Version : the turbo is in!
i just finished installing my rev hard turbo kit. man its fun. i have to do some final trimming to the bumper and finish tucking my vacum lines away, but its boosting. i have to figure out my avc-r and then ill be able to control the boost. i also ordered an s-afc, so ill be able to tune the air fuel. ill try to get pics asap.

Yeah sweeeet... I saw the kit in Import Tuner. Take me more than a year to save cash for that.:(

Congrats! You will definitely need the S-AFC for final tuning.

that kit in import tuner is not the same kit. there was no flange on my downpipe, no dumptube, no intake tube, no air filter and no instructions with my kit. also there was no boost gauge with mine like shown in import tuner. i finaly got my kit the same week steve took his car in. i ordered it over a month before that. the parts in this kit are really nice, but rev hard's customer service sucks. i called and asked why all these parts that were shown in import tuner werent in my kit and they were just rude and told me that wasnt parts for the si. oh well i got it in now

that's unusual to see a jrsc get that much power out. How much boost and was this on the 2.4L?

Yeah, on the 2.4l and type-s head, hondata and SC. They are
doing some amazing things right now! Most power ever put out
by a honda according to Oscar's SC contribution.(12lbs and counting):D

boost is nice.
every time i ride in a boosted car, I get out thinking "damn, i need to boost my k."
but then i go home and dream of shifting at 10,000rpm and having a motor that looks almost completely stock but sounds anything but.
all motor baby. coming soon to an estella not so near canada. . . :p

The RevHard guys told you that the kit featured in Import Tuner was not the Si kit, WTF? Did they explain what it that was for? I want that dump tube from the wastegate.

yeah, that is screwed up. I think we should write importtuner and ask why the hell they advertised it like that for the 02 si kit.

Looks nice xlr8. I have a question for you and steve i have the money for a turbo kit and have the means to put it in, but are you guys reporting these to your insurance company? because my insurance is already 6400 a year and i could not affored it if i had to report the turbo.

If you have a perfectly clean record, $3000 is still what you would be expected to pay as a 20 year old in a Civic Si, ON YOUR PARENT'S INSURANCE. On your own, don't even ask.
Of course, now that I've been in an accident, I'm so afraid to find out what my new premiums are gonna be.

Whoa...I have 2 points total...from one ticket, but I took that stupid driver improvement class to get it to stop counting on my DMV record(although I think ins. still sees it)...

5 from speed contest on hwy 5 for speeding then i got 1pt off for taking the class. So how important is it really to report it will i have to pull it off before the claims adj comes if the car is crashed so they wont drop me how does it work?

i was told by my insurance lady when i was going to put n2o in my last car. if i had a receipt showing when i had bought it, then i never misrepresented the car. meaning i never told them it didnt have these parts in them when it did. she also said if they found out i might get dropped. so to tell you the truth im not sure what you should do if your worried about your insurance company
