ok i'm not crazy about the orange interior dash lights etc, but i'm not about to go through all the trouble to change every dash light. I am going to add some accent lights under the dash so it illuminated down kinda. and i'm leaning towards trying to find the same color as the dash lights, anybody know of a place where i can get something close to this color? One more thing, where can i power them to, i'm thinking i'm going to put a switch in the empty spot next to the shifter.

I have the high output LED's under dash and I just installed a 9 inch red neon tube under each side. It was a very easy install. and I got the power from the Accessory wire over by the dead pedal. That is your hot, so when ever you turn you car on, the lights will light. Any screw that is screwed into metal (the frame), with work for the ground. I am thinking of taking the LED's out and only using the neon tubes. I am thinking of installing a few of the LED's just behind the mesh of the rear speakers. If you want a some pics, let me know and I can take some.;)

I also put a LED right above the power outlet, and one on the back side of the tray on the passenger side, shining into the passengers chest.

I have them in the air vents, and one shining down into the storage area by our left knee.

if that helps ya.. I am kinda LED crazy I guess

I do like the neons, and probably a better ambient fill, the LEDs tend to be very directional. It was a learning experience wiring up LEDs... I would like to do cold cathode tubes, similar to neons I think, not sure the exact difference though...

Si4U2NV, did you make your entir console lights and everything red? Please do explain, I changed all my console LEDs to white LEDs soldering and all... just curious how you changed the gauges and consoles etc... wait, my bad, is that the stock color all around?? It's been so long since I've had all one color... no, because you have to have some blue on the console area for temperature right? Whats up with your car? Looks sweet by the way :)

Wiring to the dome? Do you want the light to come on with the dome? That's different than wiring to the dome... There are relays meant to power the dome light, if you want to light some neons or LEDs with the dome, just splice into those wires (if not that much power). I'm not sure exactly where the dome light/interior light fuse is, but it should be somwhere below the dash, just have to figure out which one is power, and then just use chassis ground for negative.

If the neon is 12v just find a +12v source, and a good chassis ground, or if you are close to a standard ground, like behind the dash, use that.
