Ok , I'm a newbie, have not been on this forum long but every engine pic I see, I dont see any power wire on batteries. Does anyone have an asskickin system in their ride yet . I'm in the process of installing mine, and would like some help or suggestions.

i ran my power wire through the firewall on the passenger side, right below all the power steering linkage, and it comes into the car right next to the ecu (i think that's what it is), the wire was run in the front of the engine bay hidden along with a loom of other wires, it never gets close to the engine or the exhaust header.

and by the way, i also am having a 12w7 and 500/1 installed on tuesday along with an Eclipse deck

I ran the power wires up over the driver side wheel well and into the cabin through the stock hole for I believe the foglights. Heres the post of the pics I took for the install.

you probably could take out your blower motor or even ecu because the power wire has to run pretty close to both but I'd imagine you woud have to be pulling some serious amps to have an effect .they could tell you they wont cover it but if any thing happens to any modules over there then take your power wire out befroe you take it in.:p

I have always been a fan of the false floor. The only problem is not having a spare.:(

I still have several cosmetic panels to make, but here are a few pictures of the work so far:

Everything is done except for a cover for the underside of the amp rack. The grille cloth reflects light to the camera differently, so it looks grey when it is really black.

I installed my headunit last october, so I had to have some paint color matched. I have heard there are pre-painted kits available now, but I haven't seen them yet. This dash kit was a standard Metra kit in black, and it was $17.00 from a local Circuit City. The paint was smoething like $50.00, but that was for a quart, and that is enough for probably 40 kits.
