Keyless Remote - Same as 99-00 Si ?

Does anyone know if a keyless remote from 99-00 Si will work with the EP? They look identical except some of the #'s on the back. Obviously it would have to be programmed, but that shouldn't be a problem if its compatible. Need to replace a lost remote and used ones are pretty cheap. I thought about asking the dealer, but I'm sure they'd just tell me I need to buy a new one. Thks.

I think I answered my own question. After doing some research on the web, I believe that the FCC ID on the back of the remote must be same for it to work. Although the older SI's remote looks identical, it has a different FCC ID on it. So, I believe it won't work. If anyone has any more info, please post.
