Carbon Fiber hood???????????

Newbie question.....what is the purpose of having one?

IMO....i think it looks kinda gay...but maybe that's cuz I don't know what it's purpose is...

It's lighter than the stock hood. However, some like the look of the CF and don't paint it to match the car.

In our case, with the EP, you can say you bought it for weight reduction. But the stock hood isn't that heavy. In my case, I wanted the heat under the hood to have a better chance to escape, and I really like the look of it. But the cf hood is considerably lighter than stock, I just don't think their is a noticeable difference in weight (in terms of losing time off of your 1/4 miles, etc).
