It protects the paint from the heat of the engine and also acts as a sound deadener (to some degree).

what do you mean by "having trouble reproducing silver" ?? Is the silver on the EP a wierd silver that no one can match? That sucks if that's the case cause mine is silver.. :(

A few members have had issues where body panels were painted for whatever reason and they didn't match up very well.

I have a silver EP and it needs body work done to it. The alarm shop dented my car when testing the shock sensor (don't want to talk about that).

Anyway, I'm bringing it to a guy that has worked on my VW twice. Great work and an even better guy to deal with. They are well known in my area for their quality and creativeness. Anywho, I have no doubt that he'll get it right...he is very meticulous.

It also acts as a fire-retardent if your shit catches on fire. At least that's what they also did on Chevys when I was selling them. I would think that if Chevrolet has it, Honda must have it too.

lol if my engine caught fire, I wouldnt even keep the car. i'd just trade it in for my dream machine - s2000...

right, i wish. ill probably get an old Civic if it did, and just tune it up like a real man.
