Someone told me that you can get the EP in Canada in Milano Red. I also was informed these come with heated mirrors. Now my first question is is this statement true.... and my second one is how much do these cars retail in Canada for? I am actually thinking about flying up there and driving one back to Cali just to have a different color then all the Ep's I see out here every day.
What other issues should I be looking at besides getting raped when I try to register it next year in Cali. Has anyone ever had any experience with this? Any help is greatly appreciated. T.I.A. :cool:

Bro...
You live in Cali.. you don't need heated mirrors. Just get your damn car resprayed.. it'll be cheaper in the end.

Red = Yes

Mirrors= No

Made in Canada, Mexico, or US (therefore part of NAFTA) = no

Chances of bringing it across with little or no penalty = Slim to none.

I know they are the EXACT same car, but because of NAFTA, as well as bullshit import/export laws it'd be pretty damn hard to buy it then just bring it over

Best thing to do: Move to Canada, buy one right away, stay in Canada for a year, then move back with it !!!!!!!!

Or, for concerns of practicality... Respray it. It's not like MR is a rare color. I want to repsray mine. MR would be bad ass with our interior.

I didnt want to have to have it re-painted. The factory paint is far better then any shop would do and it is the color I wanted so I thought I would try and find out if it could be done. thanks for the replies though..... hopefully I can swing this somehow.... :) :cool:

Also, I dont care about paying a penalty for this.... I would have to end up paying a good 3 grand for a quality paint job anyways....
I am going to look into the NAFTA thing......

Really? I don't think the paint is that great on the cars, let alone ANY economy car.

Money doesn't seem to trouble you too much, why don't you just import a Type R? Mmm 30th anniversary edition. :p

Expect your Canadian warranty to be voided the moment you slap on your California plates... It has little to do with NAFTA. There has been many US companies buying cars that were meant for the Canadian market at a discount, and selling it at a premium in the US. Needless to say, car makers have caught on and have been voiding all warranties for those cars.

NAFTA definitely wasn't able to control this aspect, hence the business opportunity arose for some. As far as I know, most companies do void those warranties now...so it's really your decision. But it's true that you'll probably need a new Milano Red paint job after you drive back down there...you'll have a full hood of stonechips to take care of...
