View Full Version : Replaced Shift knob

Replaced the Stock shift knob with the Type-S knob, the bottom part of the adaptor is the same with both vehicles. So I left the Si's chrome boot adaptor on instead of the Type-S's silver one.

yea i have that shiftknob as well. looks good
god i have too many shiftknobs laying around
just installed s2000 shiftknob. god i love it. so solid and heavy

how do i find some good shift knobs that don't cost an arm and a leg??

i got rsx type s shiftknob, one that bioevolve has,
25 shipped. i used one day, took it off and replaced with s2000 knob, still in perfect condition.

The problem is that only a few can get away with that knob. Rich is one of them. ;) (True 6spd)

at dealer . shiftknob cost about 100.
used ones for around 35 up + shipping
just like every other oem shiftknobs. just screw in..

how exactly do ya replace the stock shift knob w/ the s2000? i mean do ya jus twist the stock one off and it unskrews and screw the new one in? I dont wanna mess up the stock boot or anything else seems kinda tough to unskrew, sorry for the newb question, but imma newb hehe

the first thing to do is pull down the skirt of the shifter. it justs pulls down with hard force. then you un screw the knob.
