ok the top of the strut is suppose to be extended all the way up. but it's not. it has a label on the strut that says if strut is shipped with rod not extended then turn rod counter clockwise to extended rod. we did that lastnight for about 15-20 and nothing happened. does anyone have any ideas? i really need help now. i have a big deadline i have make and i need the bags on for it. here's a pic of what i'm talking about:

Are you saying that the bag part of the strut should be all the way to the top (left in that view) of the strut?

But what you just quoted from the instructions says that the rod should be extended...which it looks like it is. So that might explain why when you turn it counter clockwise, it isn't doing anything, because that's as far as it will go.

I'm I on the right track??? never had bags before

no i'm saying that the rod at the top of the strut where the nut to hold everything together goes needs to be extended like 4-5in more. the other rear strut bag was already extended. this one isn't.

damn, I don't get it. Sorry, I've never had any experience with bags. Good luck. :(
