dash kit?

do we need to buy a whole new dash kit if we just want to install a new cd player in our car? i mean it looks like my cd player culd fit in the stock dash where the stock cd player is tell me if im wrong

Yeah you do its like 15bucks you dont have to use it but it will looks kinda funky
