from what Ive heard Injen is the way to go... easier install and couple more hp (but dont know for certain)

Is that for the CAI? because I am not sure if I want to go CAI or short ram.

i have aem CAI. i love it. i have heard things like the injen model does give more hp initially, but the heat retention of the chrome piece will rob the car of hp when the car warms up. and i don't know if the drop brings it lower than the aem model or not. the aem seems to keeps hp gains consistent. like i said i have it and i like it. i recommend it to anyone who doesn't have one. the reason i can't recommend the injen is because i have never tried it.

edit: and get the CAI, forget the short ram. if you want a short ram you might as well custom make your own intake by outfitting a k&n to the stock piping somehow. why go with aluminum or chrome when the plastic retains less heat than them both?

yes definately get the CAI. Also good things have been said about the K&N Typhoon but I dont think you get the hp gains you would with AEM or Injen

These reviews might help you decide. Honestly I think either AEM or Injen would be solid choices.

What about the water thing with CAI. Has anyone ever herd of someone having a problem with this?

i wouldn't drive through any deep puddles. i'm not too worried about it though. we are even supposed to have another el nino this winter in cali, so maybe i should worry. nope not worried.

I had a aem cai on my 00 si for like a year, with no problems even in total downpoors! the thing you wanna avoid is a big ass puddle, or a large body of water like the ocean! You should be fine!
