Remote amp turn-on

Can I use a wire off the factory radio harness as a remote turn-on? I tried the white/red wire but still had power with the key off.

I just used the fuse for the radio.

That's exactly what I did before I put in my head unit. The amp just needs a constant surge of power to tell it to stay on. Just make sure you run it off of the 12 volt switched.

Well it seems a little ghetto, but thats what I ended up doing. Working good. I used a relay that I had in my last Civic to pop on the crossover and the amp. Thanks for the input.
