17,000 miles, but looks new!

I used a bottle of degreaser and just carefully sprayed most plastic, metal and rubber hoses. Wiped it clean with a rag...

One recommendation I have if you ever spend any amount of time cleaning your engine bay: pull out the rubber seal that seals the edge of the hood along the windshield, and clean the plasic gutter that channels water to the sides. I noticed a TON of debri - sticks, parts of leaves, other vegetation, bugs, etc. I also armoral'd the plastic gutter and the rubber seal, as well as all ruber hoses (after de-greasing them.)

I was chatting with my family and having a drink at the time, so it ended up taking about 40 minutes. I could have been done in 30 if I worked a lil' harder...

I clean my engine every 2 weeks and it takes me about 5 minutes.

I just spray the whole engine with simple green and hose it with a power hose at a do it your self car wash. I then use an air compressor to dry it and eliminate any water spots.

i usually wipe parts of my engine down with a wet rag after i wash my car. it never really comes out THAT god though. that shit is sparkley. one place that get alot of dirt is under the battery. of course you never see it, but damn is there alot of shit there. :)
