Well, I just got my Si back from the dealer yesterday after having them tint the windows and install the fog lights!!! DAMN! it looks great, dirty, but great. I have to wait two days before touching the windows(i.e. rollong them down, cleaning, etc) I saw an earlier thread with someone painting the dash around the meters red, I didn't like it too much, but what about painting it Silver to match the other parts of the interior??? Can anyone do a photchop of that?? I would be interested to see how it looks. Anyway, enough ranting!!

What are the quality of the fogs? And if you dont mind me asking, what was the cost of the installation? Thanks:D

They are the factory fogs, so far so good. It is nice with the black car the housing and everything already matches(As soon as I can get some pics I'll post them). I had the dealer include them when I bought the car. I think Honda is charging something like $395 for them. I had some bad experiences in the past with aftermarket fogs(even Pia) so I decided to go with the factory this time. I'll work on getting those pics!

I asked my dealer about the fogs.... They told me $500 installed.

Ouch 500 for fogs. I can get them at the dealer for 250, so 250 for install, maybe no fogs for me:mad:

That's weird if they told you $500. The dealer here pulled out the Honda guide(which I would assume would be used by ALL dealers) and if I remember correctly it said $395. Unless it is different after you already have the car.

I need to get those. How are they controlled, but the light stalk?

They install a button right next to your Cruise control button, and they come on when you turn on the headlights.:)

without re-wiring can you turn on the fogs with just the parking lights on without the headlamps on?

SLOlife

I think 395 is msrp for the part and after looking at the installation instructions looks like the button to turn them on is exactly the same as the cruise switch but with a foglight symbol. Looks pretty complicated to do on my own, but then I could move the cruise switch to a part that is not blocked by the wheel, I think it will fit next to the power mirror spot. Cant wait to see more pics :D

Good question, I'll check it out and let you know.

That is a negative on the parking lights. The fogs only come on when the headlights are turned on. Out of curiosity, what would it take to rewire something like that???

So there is a switch to activate them and they can only come on with the head lights?

Is there a blank by the cruise and mirror for this?

Installing them can't be any harder than when I installed mine on my 98 Accord (see my web page for pics). I would install them to save approx. $250. Just my .02 worth. I will get them sooner or later...not a high priority right now. :)

Out of curiosity, what would it take to rewire something like that??? Fairly easy... you just have to find the right wires to splice into... I could ramble on about the technicalities of this but a web page has already done that for me (with images). This is obviously for a different car - but same concept.

Just called the dealer, 500 installed is correct. It takes them 2.5 hours to do the job. And at $tealer rates of $100/hour and the cost of the lights it is $500, ouch:(

Mine are wired to my headlights also...I wonder if we could rewire them to the parking lights....I think it would look good if we could have the parking light on with the fog lights...also has anyone found any info on getting different fog light bulbs??? They are H11's...yes H11's!!!
