Well I got my car lowered with Eibach Sportline Kit today. It is a lot nicer compared to stock. Less body roll and more responsive. I am gonna take some pictures later today I will post one as soon as I get them on the computer.

Looks great! Maybe we can compare rides on Sunday...I should have my ride ready to roll (redo'ing front springs tomorrow) by then.

I'm going your way Sunday...plan to visit Timberline Lodge with my family. :)

looks really good. that is a nice drop. I am not a fan of the wheels but with that drop it dosent look bad.

Has anyone on here put 99 - 00 Si wheels on an EP?

Yeah I am still riding on stock shocks. I am going to get Koni Yellows eventually. And sometime in the next 30 days I am getting adjustable control arms for the back.

Everyone seems to be really happy with the ride quality of their Sportlines. I've got em too. But my only beef, is that the rear sits higher than the front. Other than that, they're a good, quality spring.

I can't even tell that the front is lower than the back. But if you look at the readout I got when it was finished. According to the measurement before and after....the front when down 1.75" and the back went down 1.25"

is the rear camber off? enough to cause severe, uneven tire wear?

what was the part number? I'm trying to figure out if you people with eibach sportlines got the springs for the 2001+ EX. Eibach makes one specifically for the Si. The part number is: 4.5640

My sportlines are for the RSX but they work fine on our cars. I got em back in May before it was even released for our cars. I had to lower this car asap when i got it.:)

yeah, I jumped the gun though. I got some progress springs for a 01 EX for cheap, thinking it'd be okay, but the ride is down right stupid

The camber isn't too bad on the back. There isn't any on the front. I am however getting rear adjustable control arms on the back to fix the camber on the back.

I just looked at the part number on the springs and sure enough the part number is for the 01' EX and that really pisses me off. They are gonna have to fix that crap.

yeah, that sucks. The ones for the EX are going to have a lower spring rate...hence less handling.

Ok well I went back to the place I got the springs and they ordered the actual SI springs from Eibach and they should have them next week. I called Eibach and without even telling them it was kinda bouncy and the rear was noisy the guy asked me if it was kinda bouncy and made a lot of noise. He said it would go away with the new springs. I will post some new pictures with the actual SI springs.

Also the actual SI springs lower the rear a little more than what's on there now.

Ok finally got the right sportline kit from Eibach. The loud noises are gone no clunking noises when I turn the wheel, doesn't bounce outta control. And rides even better and smoother than the wrong springs. The other springs progressively got worse the longer I had them. I also have the adjustable arms on the back so I don't have any camber in the back. I will get some pictures up later today.

Congrats! Looking forward to seeing your car sooner or later. It does make big diffrence having the right springs installed. My H&R springs seemed okay after redo'ing the install on them and then they got progressively worse like you mentioned. I'm surprised more folks with the wrong springs aren't having the same kid of problems.

sicivic2002
09-16-2002, 12:55 PM
Um let me see they were about 78.92 a piece with installation it was $222.84. I will try and see if I can get a decent picture of the arms.

Ok here is a side view with the correct springs. Car is kinda dirty right now since it rained. But you get the idea.
