If you dont get the 02 for less than $15K, your getting ripped off...that car has been sitting on their lot for over a year, maybe they need to be reminded of that fact. The MSRP is $19K, that sounds like good price of an 03 but not an 02.
you got my prayers kid;)

hey dude listen to this...i just bought a brand new white 02 ep a few weeks ago. i got mine for 14500.00. thats a damn good price. it had 25 miles on it too. So yea u should be able to talk them down some. Its a year old and they are trying to move it off of the lot so tell them you wont buy it for that much and they will definitely work with you b/c they have to sell it. good luck with tha parents dude.

i got my 02 in november of 02 for 16,900. For god sake the 04's are gettin ready to come out. You better talk him down to like 14,900. I wouldn't pay more than 15,500. Good luck, hope you get it man.

I live in Louisiana by the way...maybe the prices are lower down here who knows. I know that the income here is lower for the same job anywhere else...

You should be able to get a 2003 EP3 for $16,600 or LESS! I agree with the others, a 2002 EP3 should be less than $15,000. See what the Kelly Bluebook price is on a low mileage 2002. Then make a low offer and be ready to walk out of the dealership. Negotiating can be fun if you have the right mindset.

Why is your Dad against an EP3? Is it due to insurance costs?

Make sure whatever price you want to pay, minus another $500 from it and make that your offer. Say you want to pay $15k, offer $14,500 and not a penny more coz' come time to sign the papers, the dealers will tack on the $500 destination charge.

he's against it because of insurance mostly. he wants me to drive the old beater 92 Nissan Pathfinder out there..but see my mom wants to sell it and use that to down it on the ep hatch! yeap trying and trying and trying to talk him to get it HOPEFULLY

NADA value on a 02 SI is $16,525.

I would say that a new, never registred 02 with under 50 miles on the odometer is worth about $13,500. If they don't want to sell it at that price, they can keep it. you can easily get 03 for $16,600.

tell him it's better if you get a new car, that way there are no prbs. With an old beater it'll be beaking everywhere and cost more to fix. (that's what I used)

Hey all,

just got my 03 blue si on thursday and I got it for 16,200 + 700 for lojack.

THey had '02's on the lot, but the sales guy said that the rebates and incentives on the 03's were a lot better(lower apr's, rebates etc)...but who knows..maybe i coulda gotten then 02 for 14k.

They originally offered me 16,900 on the car without the lojack.
I told them to include lojack at that price and they said OK without any hesitation.

So I think I definitely coulda gotten a few more hundred dollars off.

Just letting you know!

btw...it's a fun drive! It handles better than my '98 eclipse GSX (awd) did!
