I know, no big deal :) But I was tired of the way the stock one looks while I have it on there, it comes down etc...I've seen other peoples modifications to keep it still and didn't like it, so I did it the easy way for me.

stock boot on:

EP3R boot put on, but to my surprise...still falls down

grab a washer from my spare parts area :D

Fits perfectly over the threads...stops at the end of the threads

New boot on, shift boot stays up, knob doesn't turn all sorts of ways, stays still, makes me happy ;)

i couldn't find a washer so i got a zip tie and used that to hold up my stock boot. doesn't look great but better than before when it was just flopping all over the place. i was even contemplating theno boot look, but it's gross.

I used a spacer washer...it's used on a number of things...like a JRSC on a 96-98 EX :D to make more space between the fuel rail and manifold :)
Also I have some from my old rear tie bar I had for my EX. Try going to home depot....in case you don't like the way you have...I know it's no big deal.

Thanks Hondman :D

i thought the ep3r boot was supposed to have a gap between the top cap and the bottom of the knob?

from the pics I've seen, it does, but I didn't want that, so I didn't use the nut that comes with the shift knob

haha I was thinking the same thing, I think it hs somethig to do with the top/silver part...the JDM one is a little smaller...so Iguess it looks better/stays up better with type-r style shift nobs...I think...:o

ah, not worth the 50 dollars, to do what? change the knob to a TypeR knob? Our knob looks better on the car than the TypeR one does...

Nice pictures tho!

I don't have a type R knob, and I hate the Si knob, way to big and bulky. I know it's rediculous to buy the boot, but I wanted something more oem looking and suttle and not falling down all the time.
I have a titanium/light tan color of a knob, hard to explain, but you can see it in the pic
