I usually skip the bumpers when I'm waxing because they are not metal. But isn't the wax supposed to protect the paint?

Why not protect the paint on the bumpers with wax, too?

Are you supposed to wax the bumpers?

you should definately wax the front bumper. thats where all the bug splats will be. easier to get off and won't leave permanent marks.

OrganDonar is right. You should definately wax the bumpers. It's for the paint, not the metal underneath. You can wax any painted surface. I even wax my wheels and brake dust doesn't stay on as well.

Thanks for the replies. I can't wait to wash the car next so I can wax the bumpers for the first time.
