I remember when Car and Driver did a test on these things a few years back.

Bottom line: THEY DON'T WORK!

In order to effectively "jam" speed radar, you would need to pump out enough radio waves to screw with everybody's radio, radar detector, and cell phone in a 1 mile radius! This also has the possibility of GIVING YOU CANCER!

Such a device IS possible, but they are having trouble getting it to pass FCC regs!

FCC regulation state that they must approve of ANYTHING that gives off a radio signal, be it a cell phone, radar gun, or a microwave.

In order to surpass the FCC testing, these devices work on the principle of "passive" jamming, which makes absolutely NO SENSE from a scientific standpoint.

The best ways to avoid a speeding ticket are:

1/ Keep your car "stealth" =no booming subs, no decals, no flashy paintjob, no outrageous wing, no fartcan exhaust.

2/ Buy a good radar detector. The Valentine 1 is THE best, end of story.

3/ Slow down...

5.0 Mustang tested K40's new laser jammer, man did it work. Without it a friend who was a cop was getting locks on them between 1200-1600 ft away, when the jammer was on it couldn't get a lock untill it was within 100 ft of the gun. Its about 400.00 for the kit
