View Full Version : Who wants video of my car?

I just got some software/hardware that will allow me to get video off of my Sony Hi8 to digital format. I'll be taking some shots of my car driving over the next few days.

Any specific requests? (Highway, gunning it from a dead stop, blinking and missing the first gear run. ;) ..and no, I don't street race.) :)

Yeah, all that and top end speed run,out of car shots of car drive by and full throttle, burn out, 1/4 mile runs, hehehehe:p :D

I think a fly by would be cool. Also let's hear the BOV and how beautiful you car sounds. How about a video from the inside doing a 0-60?

I wanna see some 60mph third gear pulls to 80 something (top of third) hit up 4th too if you like. I dont know if your willing to go a buck 10. Also get some shots of the speedo/tach if you can. Its hard to decipher that a car is faster than stock unless they show actual tach/speedo - but your obviously pushing a lot more power.

I recall someone had made some sort of stand for a video camara, something like putting some sort of stick in between the two head rest of the back seats. The videos look very nice because there was no jerking on the video.

Anybody remember this? I'm trying to do this on my car but I can't find it :(

Looking forward to more videos -- I'm glad I got a newer computer with a HD bigger than 3 gigs!

go slow in 2nd gear at 25 mph...
then just floor it thru 2nd and 3rd...
i just wanna see the tach/speedo...

Just when the site had problems last week, it reseted to original settings.

That, and gunning it from a dead stop (try that with as little tire spin as possible ;)).
