ok I am new to the forum but noticed the suspension area gets little traffic.. so I posted here..

I really want performance springs.. somthing that is going to give me a little stiffer ride, and most importantly, handle better

I was thinking about the pro kit, but it only drops around 1" all around.

also, the sport lines. but I dont want to be bouncing off my bump stops...so...

also, how about the teins? I like the drop on them, but I have heard they are a little soft...

and how about H&R's?

please post any bits of advice you have.. pix and links are welcome

In my opinion, H&R's and sportline Eibachs are too low.

Tein has a great coilover system for our car, but Im not sure of just springs.

I have the Pro-Kit on mine and I love them. I also had these on my 98 ZX2 escort.

I like my Pro-Kits very much. I wish they were a little firmer, but all in all I like them.

I must say TEIN.... Tein S Tech, The springs are good for looking great and handling great..They arent the best handling springs out thier but it has good mixture of looks/performance without worrying about shcoks, bumps etc....But if you want 100% handling performance, i would go with the TEIN Coil over system, i heard thier perfect :p ....... But thier is quite a selection out thier.........:

I'd go tein or progress, and there is a lot of posting in the suspension forum, so I'm moving it here ;)

h&r isn't that low. I have about 2 finger wheel gap still which is perfect for me.

i have pics in my install thread. http://ephatch.com/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17730

ground clearance is still pretty good.

the stiffness is very livable. it is just like stock except over high speed dips, and really sharp bumps. the car is also much much more neutral now (although that has a lot to do with the camber settings i have -1.5 in front, -2 in rear - I have adjustable camber all around).

the H&R also come with a clear plastic sleeve on the lower portion of the spring to help prevent the coils from clanking against one another.

Look into the Ground Control setup. It's a set of coilovers using Eibach springs, real cheap too, they start at 299.00 a set.

How about Spoon springs?............Yeah yeah I know they are expensive, but man they are awesome. They are quite stiff yet they are much more comfortable ride then I thought they would be. I think the drop is perfect for a street driven car, almost 1.75 inches.

Eibach Sportline are perfect, but I have Koni Yelow too...
