Bought a new Si!!!

Just wanted to say what's up and that I picked up a new 2002 Si (white) 2 days ago. I traded a 2001 Accord V6 for it. What a difference a stick shift makes, the accord just felt so slow and the automatic transmission is the worst I've ever driven. This car is soooooo much more of a pleasure to drive. Anyway, hope everyone is happy with their new rides.

I don't know just yet, kinda waiting to get the car broken in and see what's out there. Honestly I haven't researched all the modifications you can do to our cars, I just drove one and liked it alot so I bought it. I used to hook cars up all the time but it's been about 2 years since I've done anything. By the way, should I remove the DOHC stickers? Also, I have the wind deflector (it was already installed, thank goodness there were no mudguards). Does everyone hate the deflectors?

Hey man congrats on the ride! Mine is white as well. Great great car! I got mine in May like right when they came out. And yes, still love it every day. Unlike that crazy nut "FishBoy" :eek: who has had his Si for like 2 months and 10k miles on it I have like 3.3k miles. Again, congrats! Prepair to get oogled at by Older Si Hatch Owners and GTI owners and scoweled at by most of the non hatch Si Owners! hehe.

Congrats on getting your SI. I have mine since 03/25/2002 and I have close to 10,000 miles on it already and love every moment in it. I almost feel bad to leave it parked to go to work or to sleep. It is so much fun to drive. Good luck with it.

Thanks for all the compliments! Good to hear that so many people like their rides. I'll admit, when they first came out I didn't really like the look (in pictures at least). But when I saw them lined up at the dealership my mind was drastically changed. Then the test drive sold me. This is my 5th honda ('86 CRX Si, 88 Civic, 00 Civic, 01 Accord, 02 Civic Si) and it's by far the best I've owned. I hope to be keeping this one for a while. As far as looks from other car owners, I've received alot of postive stares, and of course a few people who try to show off. I don't worry about it one bit.

Damn, 10k miles already. I don't even have 1k on mine yet. Then again, I haven't taken it down 101 to visit San Diego either. Actually, I haven't even driven it out of town. Guess I should get off my computer and go for a drive.
