Can we get a clean mod list going? I mean think about it... Have an organized updated sticky of every mod out there for the ep3. It would cut down on alot of BS posts... And people could refer to the list anytime they are wondering if a specific brand makes something for our car. I mean, it's just an idea so please don't flame too bad. :D Maybe even break it down to engine, interior, exterior, etc.

It would make things alot more helpful and productive for newbs and people that have even been here awhile... Cause admit it, the search option can be a beeyotch if you're looking for modifications and parts.

That's what the rate/review section is for.

I just went there...and there isn't crap on it...especially for the last 30 days...a list of 'what exists' w/out personal opinions/review would be pretty cool(says to self sheepishly)

Unfortunately, that should be outiside of the forums to ensure no opinions. Like on the website...that doesn't get updated...

There was an effort on the i-club/nasioc.com boards to create
a gian "Mod" list for the Impreza/Subaru community. It never
really took off - because it requires so much work.

If you really want to see this, lead the effort. Spend 1-2 days
going through all the old posts, seeing what people have
successfully put on their cars. Get a list of all parts required,
time to install, where to order from, common problems, etc. Find
out what parts are on the way, which ones are discontinued/don't
really fit, etc.
Write it all up in a .doc or common format and submit it to the
mods/DownTheHatch to see if they'll post. I would think Steve
might even welcome this on his K-Series site.

Basically, it's a lot of work. Also, the benefit of "opinions" is that
not every mod works for every person. Some might not like the
ride quality of Neuspeed springs - others might. Some might like
the $600 Hondata mod, some might not. So along with the fact
that "hey, here's a mod I can do" you get an opinion of how
well the mod worked from that person. I do think a giant list
would be helpful, but someone has to lead it.

If you want me to help, I'd be up for it.

I think an easy way for the search tool to work would be using correct terminology. If not just add a key word to your subject when you place your post....

Example...

"I painted my calipers" Just add a comon key word,

"I painted my calipers...brakes"

When you post anything that deal with the breaking system, just add the term "brakes" to the subject line, when you search you can narrow the search down by just searching for "breaks" then you can narrow your search from there...

the thing is no one will be nice enough to use it.:(

Exactly...
And I don't mean like a list with every part number, colour accessory, etc.

It just makes the site look bad when seeing threads like "What exhausts are out there for the ep, y0" every 6 or 7 days. Sometimes I can't even take this place seriously because of the intake questions all the time.

I understand everyone is a gearhead, but come on now...

maybe start with a list of available cai & sri, exausts, and headers...because these are some of the first mods a lot of people do. [excluding custom made ones of course]

Here's a list of almost all well known body kits, wings, and hoods.

thanks to mugen_ep and few other ppl.
