VERY pleased with the outcome. the piece looks good - I wanted the flat black, but the local shop only had the polished in stock, they gave it up for 115 bucks + tax.
Probably not a very necessary mod unless you have stiffer springs. After installing the h&r springs, the chassis flex became more apparent during hard cornering and when i'd ride over very harsh bumps. This bar stiffens up the front nicely and improves steering response greatly through turns. worth every penny.
I'll have pics later. The polished bar is totally blingin'. Not a bad thing, but it is by far the flashiest piece on my car so far. but at least it's functional.
Install was easy, took about 30 min start to finish. The bar doesn't just slip on - which is good. The bar should have some tension at rest. I had to jack the car up, and work pretty hard to seat the driver's side of the bar. The instructions said to do it while the front wheels were on the ground, but that sure as hell wasn't happening. If you're having trouble seating the bar, get some copper tubing and put it over the outer strut studs, and then work the bar in. That will keep you from stripping threads on the studs.
