Yeah I saw that earlier today. His buy now price is like retail on a new ECU and Hondata. Crazy:o

He's a good salesman too- he said that he lost to his friend in a race by 4-5 car lengths before the flash-and then after he won by 1-2 lengths! That flash must add about 100 whp.

Actually retail on a new stock ECU is like $800...
But I'm selling my STOCK ECU and cant seem to get more than like $150...
His B.I.N should be like $700 MAX.
Hopefully his reserve is somewhat reasonable.

a ricer with mommy's credit card.
edit: actually, they'd probably use that money for a 7 foot wing and cover the car in vinyl 4 times.

$700 for the Hondata flash AND the ECU is a fair price. The Flash alone is $600.

So, its already got the flash, what would you have to do to get it to work in your car? Take it to honda so they could reprogram it to your key and all?

That's alotta money.
If anyone on here is interested, you should email him to see if he accepts escrow.
I would feel bad pointing you toward an auction and having you get ripped off.

He's got 100% positive feedback, but YOU NEVER KNOW!

Also remember, unless you know someone at a Honda dealership (tech) you may have a hard time getting your immobilizer reprogrammed.

I have another question...will my car show a different mileage on the odometer? Since this ecu is from a different car and all I was thinking that the mileage is stored in the ecu, or maybe it isn't?

nope...
the mileage IS stored in the ecu...
but it wont change the mileage on your gauge cluster...
the 2 just wont match up...
no big deal...

What I dont get is why he says hes selling it. He says that hes selling the ECU because hes getting a new car, but doesnt hondata flash your existing ECU? is someone gonna buy the car without the ECU? Either way someone is getting ripped off, and it smells a little fishy.

maybe he bought one to replace it. I know I've seen a couple of stock ecu's on ebay for sale. ADAMnQuickCIVIC, I believe, sold his stock ecu on ebay, maybe the guy selling the hondata one bought his stock one?

Actually this guy emailed me a couple times about my stock ecu i have on ebay. So he'll probably buy it if his auction ends successfully.

DO NOT BUY THIS. How do u know it has hondata on it till its too late? theres no sticker or marking its just all in the ECU. so if u paid that much for a stock ECU ud kick ur own ass. haha. be carefull...
