Very similar tastes to me and my gf, that is her EP, the HKS exhaust is coming either Friday or Monday. We both really like the CF Mugen wing, we are considering it and just a white CTR wing.........

Nice ride! I really like your conversion on the gauges. Was it difficult to change? and can you also give me the link to where you got it from and any problems with it? Thanks.

EnJaNir
07-28-2003, 10:24 PM
i got them from a friend for a price i couldnt beat, i know that you can get them from showstoppers and other retailers just search AC S7 gauges on google, and you can find a few places should be around 90 bucks if i recall

was it hard? we installed them at night, soo it was a bitch, if i had to do them again, im not really sure if i would, but i do love the way they look and the final product soo im happy. AC also now offers volt, temp etc gauges in the S7 line so i'd could always match if i wanted

How are the shocks holding up with that drop? Any road clearance issues?

Shocks are holding up just fine, but the ride is "bouncy" sometimes my butt does leave my seat, besides that i cant really complain, when i get the funds konis will be going on

clearance issues - speed bumps are a minor problem, i need to brake after i reach the peak so i dont hit on the way down, but last week i was visiting some friends, and kinda sorta got stuck on a speed bump :( I got off it alright, and didnt do any damage so i raised my coils a few threads all the way around the first pics are at the original drop height, the moving pics are at the raised height

A- What does your dad think of it ( I assume thats him driving in the motion pics)

Yes that is my dad, and my mom is driving the 2nd car so i could take the pics ;) He loves it, he sneaks the keys away all the time to take it out, he really loves the look after the drop, and he really loves how the wing looks :D lets just say that hes the fuel to my fire when it comes to getting new stuff for my baby

B- I WANTED WHITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!(GF said no)

i orginally wanted black, but they sold it while i was on the phone, had to settle for white if i wanted to ge tthe price i did..i'm very happy i got white

EKthenEPnow - sorry your gf isn't letting you get what you want...but patience is a virtue ;)

I would really like the new Alpine 16gig indash harddrive, or maybe ill put a PC under my passenger seat, i'm not sure yet

Konis
Neuspeed front and rear strut bar
powercoat rear calipers
front big brake kit
I had the BC3 kit but decided to sell it, now i want the fiber images kit (plus my dad thinks that kit is wayyyy HOT :D )
possible seats eventually

im not really sure at this time...just kinda finding things i like..and going with the flow

blackout headlights? They would look great with the CF wing and would contrast the front end very well.

if i were to i would get the real ones, but i can't really justify the 400+ on them when other goodies can be had, konis, strut bars..etc

do you by chance have a nice frontal pic of your gfs ride though?

Do you want it with real JDM lights or with DIY lights? I have both.

ehh money is tight now though, one more year of school and i join the real world...plus that alpine hard drive lists for a grand i think ..sigh i wish money grew on trees

how does the hks exhaust fit with the progress rear sway? my progress rear sway hits on my stock exhaust and is driving me nuts. any regrets getting the hks exhaust or any of the other parts you already bought?

Mad02Si
08-06-2003, 04:33 AM
Very clean car. Maybe one day when I actually make a meet we could do black and white Ep pics. Hopefully my wing will be here next week, and then my list of mods is almost the same as yours minus the head unit.

EnJaNir
08-06-2003, 07:43 AM
the hks does hit the progress sway..and the front is extremely close to the piping before the cat. it does rattle at times, depending on how the car is sitting sometimes it kinda sounds like a hellicopter in the car...but small price to pay

i suppose the only this i wish was instead of putting so much money in my car...i would have spent all that money paying it off so that im that much closer to owning the car. but if i had to get stuff again id most likely do the same

first- love the car.

next- i noticed you posted several places about the progress sway bars. mine are on order. now the problem arises that it hits the exhaust. do you know anyone i can talk to about an exhaust that doesn't hit? or your suggestions on how to fit the hks exhaust without hitting?

last-thanks

MrCivic03
09-21-2003, 01:58 PM
Daaayam those recaros are nice. where u get? and also cant u just modify the brackets on exhaust like biovelve(not sure this is his name) he has greddy and it hit his lower strut i think and he just made the brackets shorter and it raised the muffler on his greddy evo which hangs even lower i bet.

EnJaNir
09-21-2003, 04:06 PM
if i raise the entire system, it will hit my rear bumper, if i want to go that route, it will have to be bent again in 2 places

my seats are equiped side SRS airbags in the sides, i have srs sensors in my doors, and a different SRS main control unit. my passenger seat also has sensor that line the entire back so that if a child gets close to the airbag it self, it shuts off that side airbag.

sure, id be willing to help you out. i dont think i would suggest the rev hard kit though. they sent me another black box, to fix the fact that its running really rich. well they leaned it out, but not at idle like i asked them too, so it still stumbles at idle

Looking good man. :p

I have to see that car again. I have to say that dash is growing on me. What it looks like in your pictures and what it looks like when I saw it in person does not do it right. That dash does looks sweet.

Not much has been done to my car since you last saw it. :( Got my springs bought but I want to wait for shocks and do the full install job all at once. If I can get some 5 bolts in my car when I do the other work I would be happy but got to see what happens with time and money.
