It depends. Home Depot only sells certain thread patterns of which automotive is not a part of. As long as it's a standard coarse/fine thread, they will.

I don't know if you have any around youre area, but here we have "nut and bolt" stores. They have a wide variety of hardware and also in different grades of hardness.

Try looking in the phone book for under either hardware or nut and bolt.
