I just read about 'top fuel's (Japan tuner)' 495hp dc5r.
They apparently upgraded their k20a2 itr engine from 2.0 liter to 2.4 liter, plus added a turbo...and are pushing just under 500hp... :o

Imagine doing that to our ep3?:eek: any thoughts...

dc5@em2 , he has 7thgen civic . swapped k20a motor . stage 3 cybernation turbo. running 25 psi. 425whp.

my plan all along has been to do a 2.4L swap with better cams and under drive pullys. I just need a bunch of money first. But I want to run all motor. I saw that DC5 in super street I think, it was very bad ass!

i had a thread about the stroker kit, check engine forum. f***ing thing costs about 5k. 2.5 = $5995!

sounds cool, I'm guessing it's a coupe cause the ep3=7g civic too ..hehe..unless he swapped in a k2?
i pitty anyone that thinks he's still running sohc.

It was not a k20a2, it was a k20a= R motor.
The car is an ITR.

sorry about that, I thought the point came acros when said 'itr engine'...:o
I have a tendency to call it a k20a itr...I believe it is actually called a k20a dc5r....;)
plus I think I did put dc5r a lot in there...and why in the world would someone assume a top tunner in the heart of Japan would even consider working with a usdm engine when the have jdm ones in abundance...be kind it was only a FREAKIN TYPE-O :p
Ps:everyone else realized it was an itr.

its a race motor its only good for a few passes not a daily driver

yep, the car is completly gutted too. However that would be a sweet ep3 if you could make it daily driven dependable...since it is pretty much full jdm and jspec after market I would think it is still more dependable that ours ..hehe:D
