the paint match is really good but at night it lookz like a dif color, itz like...OBVIOUSLY the same color but kinda like...it doesnt reflect right at night or something... but itz nothing so noticeable that it bothers me... and im PICKY... yes we did have to drill a hole approximately the same diameter as a pencil for the light... and it was so well done that i didnt mind them doing it to my leased car...

so... i give it a 10+ super happy wit it...;)

PS-Im working on a groupbuy for it so hold your horses itz on the way...:)

Nice wing mike...One question (sorry if its been asked),

1. was the instalation hard?
2. Did it cost extra for it to be shipped painted oem color?
3. How is the quality?
4. Is it hard to hook up the 3rd brake light, is it hard?

umm...to many questions sorry, but thanks for the help, nice wing!:)

Here is the link to all those that want to know about the wing and the price and everything.

I bought it painted taffeta white and I was told by customer service that I would get it this week. It cost me $371 painted and shipped. The fact that was more expensive for me was that they are in Miami so I had to pay Tax.

ok here are a few answers... one, u pay taxes when u buy something from YOUR state, not OUT of your state.

two, the drilling was VERYYYY simple. itz just one hole about the diameter of a wooden pencil in between two existing holes...

i DIDNT do the install, and i didnt get it shipped, i went to SpoilerDepot and they had it painted waiting for me and they installed it for me, nothing big tho i coulda done it myself.

So, the install is easy, itz really good quality, itz easy to hook up the 3rd brake light, just tap into the stock harness...

herez a pic...

enjoy...

-Mike

BTW-i didnt order it, i was the car you will all see in your instructions manuals...;)

Si4U2NV

here is how they decided to tap into the stock 3rd brake light harness... (i woulda done it KLEENER) oh well...still kleen...

-Mike

PS-Steve, werent YOU supposed to get the first one? whatever happened? they called me and told me your car didnt "photograph well" so they needed mine... i still thought u had yourz already...

I'm still getting one for free. Black is a bad color for photographing. All of the lines blend in.

That and they just took the mold from my car. They never asked to take pics of the completed product.

No biggie, I still got a spoiler out of it. :)

well, i got my spoiler from spoilerdepot.com today and installed it. here is a quick review...

overall = happy with my $400 (including paint and shipping) purchase
finish quality = great
fit = good (i don't know where to affix weatherstrip?)
wiring = ? (mine was wired backwards - red=ground, black=power)
hardware = ok
instructions = terrible (they are for some other car)
led light = great

install notes (sorry no diy or pictures):
i didn't drill into my tailgate - i used one of the 6 bolt holes; put in a rubber grommit and ran wires through it and put screws into the other 5.

i am going to replace the cheap cross tip screws that came with the wing with some nice bolts sometime next week... i didn't use much else that came with it except the rubber screw hole isolators.

i also disconnected the green and black wires from the back of the stock brake light and wired them to the wing and installed shrink tubing over it.

parts of the install go easier with 2 people...

LOL,yea that does suck.

Hmmm. I guess the proper instructions were not ready yet when they shipped your order. They could of just thrown up that PDF recently.

Now you know where the weather strip go's :)

Good idea on running the wiring. I'm sure the 5 bolts hold it snug enough....and no drilling :) I might go that route too If I order this month like I want to.
