When are our EPs due for a service maintenance or checkup? I've read somewhere around these boards that it is at 5,000 miles, or at 10,000 miles. I'm at about 4,800 miles so far on my EP, and my next oil change is due at 5,400 miles. Is there anything else I need to look out for maintenance or service?

I know that the maintenance required light should come on when it should, but I just want to know around when that time will come. And does Honda send you a letter in the mail to let you know when to come in? I'm not sure when any service is required, nor what they do when that time comes, but just remember reading somewhere that they do something at either 5,000 or 10,000 miles. And when do most people rotate their tires? Thanks a lot in advance guys.

All of your questions can be answered by looking at the manual.

What require maintenance is there?? I hate taking my car back.

I've never really had a good experience. Last time they changed my oil, the grubby mechanic apprentice wanna be put oil stains all over my carpets.

I want to take my car to Honda as LITTLE as possible.

Alot of the maintenance you can probably do. The car doesn't really need any major maintenance until around 110,000 miles or so.

Just regular fluid/filter changes and you should be fine

Take it anywhere, change the oil, rotate the tires, thats about it.
Owners manual says you should "check" brake systems, suspension components, etc....but there's no need for a dealership to look at your brakes and say "Yup, looks good to me!" Geez, dealership has hard enought ime finding a problem when YOU calll their attention to it....."Oh yeah, 1qt of oil every 1000 miles, its within specs, what can i say"
