I want to run some WIDE ass tires and I was thinking about getting the 225/45/17 FALKEN AZENIS SPORT Street Slicks. They are D.O.T approved but will they fit under the car? I have 17x7 Racing Hart S15's, I know they will fit in the rim, but will they fit under the car. I also have the Tein Type FLEX Suspension. Any info would help.
-Thanks
Mike

it will fit.. you just gotta adjust height of your car . depends on drop. those tires might rub.

we are gonna need to know how low you are and what offset you got on those rims

I can adjust the hight so thats not a problem. Im not sure of the offset, i'll have to check it and get back to you. I just told the guys I got them from they are for my EP3 and I got 205/40/17 Pirelli's on there now, but like I said I want to go bigger as soon as my Turbo set-up is done.

I have 215/45/17 with a +45 offset. No rubbing issues.

Assuming it is only going to be 10mm more wide (225-215=10mm) and you use a +40 or less offset you will be OK since you can change the height of your car.

It will probably stick out and you will not want the car to be to low. A good bump will cause the tires to slam against your fenders (since it will stick out) if you don't have enough of a gap.

Chunky has 225's on his car. Do a search for him and you can see in a picture how 225's can stick out of the fender.
