Goodbye friends...

I traded in Si for Xb.

More than the car... I am sad to leave this community of Si. Ephatch is by far one of the most intelligent forums i've been to. You guys really helped me out about a lot of issues.

thank you Rocky and Gary for all your help and advice.

I will visit from time to time to check on you guys. :(

Saw one yesterday for the first time! I dont like the stock ones, but i could see how it could be PIMP with some Deuce Deuce's and a drop and all...

Yes its gutless,but....My del Sol weighs around 2350 lbs and has 102hp. It keeps up with traffic no prob. As long as He's just laid back cruisin. It should be pretty cool :)

Thanks for a warm farewell... I am now in www.scion-owners.com But, it's no where Ephatch.com's level. There are some pics one that site. Also, I posted a thread about Nissan's tall-wagon car called Cube. check them out.

My wife and I decided to try to have a baby next year. I just couldn't imagine myself taking a baby in and out of two door hatch back for many years. Besides, I have two large dogs.

Thing is... I don't like large cars. And I followed bB (XB) since it came out in Japan few years ago. I loved it from then... I never expected it to make it to US.

When I was shopping for cars to buy my Si, it was three months away from Scion's launch date. I actually wrote a letter to Toyota saying I am willing to be a beta test driver. And I was willing to put the money down.

So... I decided to do it before my car value went any lower...

I hope you enjoy your Scion... kind of interesting to see how people feel about the xB and the brand in general. Myself, I have a feeling that you'll find the more practical-minded empty nesters and 40 somethings lining up for them, instead of the desired young 'uns... though the aftermarket's response to the brand and their visibility will have something to say about that. Myself, I haven't driven one yet (xB), but I've been in/around them at the NAIAS and Chicago shows, and I'll admit it is a interesting design. Enjoy it - I hope it suits your needs well!

Hey guys.

Long time no talk. I saw Si on the road the other day and I missed being coming to ephatch at the end of the day...

So here I am!!!

I love my Xb (bB/Toro as I call it...). Yes, it's not as ziffy as Si. But, it is so much fun to drive. It is a cruise car after all.

It's so much more than I expected.

But, seriously, only thing I want is a community like ephatch. I am now in Scionlife.com. Pretty cool site... And there are a numbers of cool people there. But, it's mostly ricey kids... I think...

Oh well, here is my Xb. Enjoy~

Ya know, as much as everyone is expecting to see nice rims on the xB's, those steelies actually look cool. Really mechanical & utilitarian, with a hint of Mad Max in 'em.

I finally got to see both the xB and xA at the Dallas State Fair this year (no Hondas anywhere, but that's OK, since all the imports were crammed into a back corner of the far display building), and I think they're pretty cool. If it weren't for the Si, I'd be considering one, but I also don't have a wife, kid, & dogs to drive around either.

I am actually holding off buying the Element before I drive the US Xb. I had one when I lived in Japan, I had a bB. It was a fun car. Mine had 1.3 liter and auto and was slow as molasses. The only thing I did not like about it was the center mounted speedo. At the time you could only get it in black, hence Bb=Black Box.

Since it was a company car, and they use Toyotas, I changed it to Chaser, adn then to Altezza. Chaser was much more fun than Altezza. The Altezza had 2.0 engine in it.

I think the rest of US gets Scion this spring.

I am still contemplating on selling my original Bb brochure on ebay.

TRAITOR!!!

j/p ... i hope you like you're new Scion. Those are tight little cars, looks like they're a blast to drive. all the consumer reviews i've read say the 1.5L engine provides enough pep for everyday driving. and the attention those cars receive is a bonus. it's a lot of car for the money.
