i did that to my gn along with the 8 other gns, a we4, and a wo1. its completly harmless but you wont see any noticable power out of it althow im sure it helps alittle.

the rule of thumb is every 1 degree cooler you can make the air you will have 1 hp, its the theory behind intercoolers. it will make the tb cooler to the touch BUT theres not enough surfice area on the tb to reduce the intake charge by much more then a degree if that.

the purpose of this is to keep the throttle body butterfly from freezing open during cold weather. it is fine to do in warmer months, but I would suggest it be put back for winter, but its your insurance.
