dang, that ep is awesome. yup, lots of carbon fiber. regarding the shifter, its a real rally shifter - the closer to the steering wheel, the better.

what is that silver box next to the intake?

This car is located in Hong Kong, and it so happens to be that im in hong kong as well, it is from a shop call gtsport, www.gtsport.com.hk . I saw it in person while they were putting all the show stickers for these photo shoots. i wanted to buy those side mirrors, but they are 3500.00 HKD, which is about 450.00 USD, anyone want one, i can help them get one, post or PM me =).
Oh ya, and i asked them how many horses that puts out, they dyno tested it at 260 hp, dunno if that is base or to the wheels, ill ask again later. the car is in mainland china right now for touring race, and i believe its where the photos are taken.
Any questions about this kick ass ride, ask me and i will find out for you guys :D :D

oh ya... i also asked them how much they spent on the EP3, they said approx. 600,000+ HKD. which is around 75,000 USD. they used all top of the line parts, naturally aspirated. they also said that they can get me a brand new A2, balanced and inspected by Mugen, for 32,000 HKD (around 4,000), you guys think i should go for it?

Honda USA should put a couple of Mugen photos in its Si sales brochures and run a TV commerical -- a 20 sec one would do the trick -- featuring Mugen's car coming through the gears and running at speed. Merely showing the potential of the car would generate enough buzz to sell a ton of Si's. Maybe nudge them toward the sale of CTRs in the US?

On the kingmotorsports website, they have the Mugen N1 suspension listed on their project Si. I'm assuming that that's what this car has. When the hell are they going to release it to the public? It's obviously been developed already!

err...I'm very uneducated about most mods...can someone tell me what with the suspension pplare all fussing about?
..I'm guessing it's the bar connected next to the arm of the coilover kit, since our whole front suspension turns...

That is correct, on the stock suspension the tie rod attatches to the top of the control arm, and the relocated it to the bottom. The key is to try to get the tie rod assembly parralel to the ground at ride height. Otherwise you get bump steer which is not good for handeling.

is bump steer a whobble feeling while cornering? Not too much wobble, but enough to lose traction a little and cause the car to speed up and down repeatedly?

bump steer is your steering wheel turning and the car changing directions when one front wheel goes over a bump.

that sounds like what I get sometimes. It feels like it wants to change direction...so it repeats that over and over and feels like a wobble while taking a turn.

Just a question and ya, I'm willing to take the heat so flame on brothers. Do you think after a while that the JDM look with all the carbon fibre stuff and Mugen stickers everywhere will be played out? I mean come on guys, this car looks like a rolling billboard. I know you guys think it looks cool now but the "race look" will eventually turn to the "rice look" as do all of the fads. I respect your opinions but I would rather see people who have different visions for their cars instead of going for what the flavour of the week is....and I know that most of you that hate the Alteeza style tails and call them rice probably had them on your last car. That just my point. Its not a custom car if they all have the same parts and look the same.

I agree that the looks are shitty. That's why when I first opened up the link, I was like...uhhhh, what is so fantastic about this mugen shit. It looked like ass. But as I scrolled down, I saw what performance was put into it. I think that's the point you missed...we're not looking at the cover..but what's inside...at least I am.

I think my question was directed to those who described it as sexy, beautiful, hot etc. Don't get me wrong, I'd love the suspension and the wing on my own car but when I think of sexy cars I think Ferrari, G35C etc. not a car with the name Mugen plastered on it 47 times thats all. I know they make great stuff but I think diversity is the key.

Guys, you're missing the point. The Mugen EP is a race car -- i.e., a rolling billboard. A damn fast billboard. It's not intended to be art. It's intended to catch your eye and stand apart from all other race cars on the track at the same time. If it were one color, it would be dull as dirt. Sure, it would look pretty dumb in your driveway, but you're not likely to see it there.

This car is not Mugen's touring car, it is from a car shop call gtsport in Hong Kong. They just told mugen and honda to custom make their parts for them.

AMEN Brother...i mean no way in hell would i put all that stuff all over my ride..but thas what a sponsored car is. This car is staright form and function...thas what i like about the "JDM Look".
The Japanese have a very different perception of color from people that grew up in the US. You ever see a japaneese guy wearing bright purple sneakers?....
Thas where all the color clashing comes from.
Theres nothing on that car that doesnt enhance it in some way.

just happen to me on my way home, hit a dip in the road in the middle of a pretty highspeed turn, the front end almost jumped out into the opposite lane really had to grip her hard to keep control...

I was driving on the highway last week at a pretty good speed and the wheel felt like it was being jerked out of my hands every ten seconds. I pulled over to see if there was anything wrong with the car. There was a heavy crosswind but still! Now I notice it most when I'm braking to a stop. It only does it once in a while so it catches me by surprise. All of a sudden my car wants to take a sharp right, right into the curb!
