Compustar Alarm help!!!!

I lent my dad my car for the day and without and help from the transmitter the alarm locks and unlocks the car continiously with about a 10 second delay. Its more annoying and well me worrying as he is going to be doing some errands and I do not want to have my car in some parking lot unlocking it self and locking itself.

Any Ideas on how to fix this?

I have a compustar alarm but this has never happened to me.
It kind of sounds like you have it set on "passive"?
If you're within a certain distance of your car it will lock or unlock
automatically.
if you walk away from your car it will lock. when you're walking towards your car it will unlock.
I was told not to activate this setting as it will
drive you nuts figuring out if the car is locked or not.

hmm I'll have to check it out.

It happened to me about 2 months ago...but I pulled the battery out of the remote and put it back in...it seemed to have stopped...

forgot all about it, guess till today.....anyhow...my dad left the remote at home....and went golfing at some ritzy locked up country club till I get home...so I am not too worried...will play with it later tonight...
