bobdobbs buys an EP3!

Well, after much deliberation, I took the plunge and bought a Vivid Blue Pearl '03 EP3. I found one at a local dealer, still in shipping plastic, with 4 miles on it. I drove it, liked it and worked out a price with the guy. I then told him I'd like to think about it and I went to the Toyota dealer. I drove a Celica GT-S (again) and although I thought it was better than the Si in some ways (handling, interior) I also thought it was worse in others (engine noise, shifter quality). The GT-S is a better car, but I coudn't justify spending the extra $7000 for it.

I paid $16,471+T&L, the only extra was floor mats. I think almost $3000 under MSRP is pretty good, especially with 1.9% financing for 60 months.

I LOVE THE CAR! I want coilovers and a replica Type-R wing and maybe new rubber.

Thanks, everybody. This car reminds me and my wife of the cars you see in Italy: small, sporty, and going really fast on the Autostrada. It's quirky. I like quirky. I wish I had driven one of these before I bought the Matrix. It's way better.

I already love it. I'm emotionally attached to an automobile after only six hours. ;)

They had every color, but blue looked the best to both me and my wife. White is really cool, but the first time somebody called me Eggman, I'd prolly knock their teeth out. :angel:

I got a white one... but I too think that Blue looks best. Wish I could have gotten the Blue but ....oh well...they didn't have blue when I bought mine....not that the dealers selection was poor...it just wasn't offered! (i got it in 02) the only colors avail were the Gold and White ...I think black was too but im not certain. But hey anyway dude congratulations on the sweet ride! Have a blast makin her your own!!!!!!

I told one of my co-workers (who has an older Civic) that I bought a Civic Si and she said, "Did you get a blue one?" I didn't drive it to work today. She said she and her friends all like the blue ones, but felt they are rare and that's what everybody wants. I didn't know it was rare (?).

ah, the blue is pretty rare IMO, our Baltimore meet we just had this weekend.....we had 20 EPhatchers, and only 1 of them were blue (craig), 2 gold, some silver, ah some white, and ALOT of black

let us know how the spoilerdepo works out.. alot of people havent been pleased with there painted wings. also.. i would like to know how well there vivid blue pearl matches up to our stock paint..i ask cuz my spoiler is perfect on the sides but when you look at it from the top or a different angle it looks a shade darker...
